Distance Education and Student Location

Online delivery, identity, location records and jurisdiction-specific enrollment review.

Official institutional policy

01

Online delivery and identity

PCU-USA currently operates online. Students need reliable internet access and the equipment and software stated for their program. The University verifies identity at admission and may use secure accounts, supervised activities, oral checks or other proportionate methods throughout study. A student must not share an account or complete another person's academic work.

02

Student location

The University records the state or country where a student is physically located when first enrolling and requires the student to report a change before continuing study from a new jurisdiction. Mailing address, citizenship and location are different facts; authorization analysis uses physical location where required by applicable law.

03

Enrollment by jurisdiction

Before enrolling a student outside Indiana, PCU-USA reviews whether that jurisdiction requires authorization, registration, disclosure or another condition for the proposed online program. The University may decline or pause enrollment where it has not established that it may lawfully serve the student. Enrollment is not a representation that a program meets professional licensing requirements in the student's jurisdiction.
