Institutional Continuity and Teach-Out

Protection of students and records when a course, program or the institution changes or closes.

Official institutional policy

01

Continuity planning

The University maintains operational backups, role-based access and recovery procedures for core academic records. Material interruptions are communicated through the portal and institutional email, with revised deadlines or alternative access where reasonably necessary.

02

Program change or discontinuation

When a material curriculum change or discontinuation affects enrolled students, the University assesses remaining requirements, faculty and system availability, time to completion and reasonable alternatives. Affected students receive an individualized completion path where feasible, including a transition curriculum, scheduled final offerings or a documented alternative.

03

Records and communications

Any teach-out plan identifies responsible officers, affected students, dates, academic protections, financial treatment if applicable and permanent custody of transcripts and conferral records. The University does not promise transfer acceptance by another institution, but will provide students with accurate official records needed to seek alternatives.
